Taunt Media's first community project, Protagonize, has generated significant buzz in the last few months since its launch, having been featured on numerous significant technology and social media blogs and in the mainstream media.
With over 1,500 registered authors on the site, an incredible amount of high-quality collaborative fiction is being produced by our members, and we hope to keep growing at a steady rate and receive more recognition around the web and in Vancouver's technology industry.
Now, Protagonize is up for a PopVox Award, a people's choice-type award show that is put on by New Media BC, a non-profit organization that works with BC's digital media companies here in Vancouver and the rest of the province. You can also see the related post over on the Protagonize Blog.
Voting opened a couple of days ago and runs until 5pm PST on May 12th. You'll need to register on the awards site, which only takes a second, and then you'll be able to vote on our page in the submissions gallery.
If you'd like to support Taunt Media and Protagonize, please go hit up the PopVox site (you can use the link below to vote) and vote for Protagonize as your favourite site in the Best User-Generated Content category!
Protagonize makes cut for round 2 of NVBC Competition
In other news, Taunt Media is pleased to announce that Protagonize has been selected for Round 2 of the 2008 New Ventures BC Competition. A list of all of the organizations selected for Round 2 is available here.
The NVBC Competition consists of four rounds of increasingly complex and competitive circumstances, and promotes BC companies with new ideas who have yet to be funded. Prizes are significant, and we hope to move on to round 3 in the next few weeks!
